About Eftpos Experts
An independent payments advisory for Australian business. We read what you pay to accept cards, work out what you should be paying, and negotiate the difference back.
What we do
Merchant pricing is deliberately hard to read. Rates, monthly charges, terminal rental and compliance fees arrive on one statement with no indication of which are negotiable and which are not. We work only for the merchant: we read the statement, benchmark it against what the market would offer a business of that size and industry, and either negotiate a better deal or tell you that you already have one.
We are a broker, not a reseller for one provider, and we do not take a position on which provider you should use before we have seen your numbers.
Who is behind it
Eftpos Experts was founded by David Johnston, a payments specialist with more than 20 years in banking and payments across Australia and the Asia-Pacific. He writes the guides published here and oversees the advisory work.
